What is the requirements the city of Las Vegas put in place to be a licensed locksmith company compare to the surrounding cities near by (learn what city made sure the consumer might be safer).

Is there a difference between one city license to another city license when it comes to locksmiths.

The answer seems to be yes. A locksmith Las Vegas company must have all their locksmiths get a locksmith I.D. from the Las Vegas police department while a locksmith company in Henderson does not (locksmith I.D's proves to the client that the Las Vegas locksmith has a clean background check). And even though we can all agree that the Henderson business department should have done so, for some reason it is not a requirement nor is it an option for locksmith companies to do so. On the other hand, A North Las Vegas locksmith company does have to get all their locksmith an I.D. just like all Las Vegas locksmith companies do.

In addition, all locksmith Las Vegas licensed companies must have their work vehicles post their company name and license in plain view. This is so the customer can recognize from a distance that the Las Vegas locksmith that has arrived is who he called to get service. This makes what could be a nerve-wracking situation much safer, especially for the elderly. In North Las Vegas or Henderson there's no such requirement making it legal for locksmiths to show up in what could look like anyone. This could be very dangerous for a locksmith customer who would let in who ever is walking up to their door thinking it's help arriving.

Another different requirement for Locksmiths in Las Vegas is the uniform. Both Henderson Locksmith companies and North Las Vegas locksmith companies do not have to have a uniform for their techs. The Las Vegas license requirements is that all Las Vegas locksmiths shall have an approved uniform that clearly shows that the locksmith is employed by the Las Vegas locksmith company. This is so consumer will have no doubt who they're answering the door to. Personally that's very smart and should be implemented by every locksmith company regardless of the laws.

An addition, I couldn't find a law that pointed out whether or not locksmiths in Las Vegas needed to have insurance, but all the Las Vegas locksmith companies I found did advertise that they had it. So I hope it's a required law. locksmith Las Vegas.

(

My personal conclusion (this is just my opinion ).

I personally find it safer to use a licensed locksmith Las Vegas service provider rather than a locksmith company in Henderson or North Las Vegas (Unless the Henderson locksmith company or North Las Vegas locksmith company have a license from the city of Las Vegas or Clark County ).

This means that even if I lived in Henderson I would rather hire a licensed Las Vegas locksmith company to do my work just because of the safety steps the city of Las Vegas has taken.

Keep in mind, that if a North Las Vegas locksmith company or a Henderson locksmith company is licensed to work in Las Vegas that means they do meet all the requirements that would make the customer safer. Basically, it's my opinion that all locksmiths that are licensed in Las Vegas with the proper Las Vegas business license is safer for the consumer.

As far as I know the city of Las Vegas business license department and the Clark County Business license department have very similar license requirements for locksmiths to be licensed.
